Privacy Policy – Your data stays yours
At Pixlop, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we handle any information when you use our image compression tool. Because all processing is done directly in your browser, we have zero access to your images or any personal data you might enter.
All image compression, resizing, format conversion, and editing are performed entirely on your device using JavaScript and the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images are never:
- Uploaded to any server
- Stored temporarily or permanently by us
- Shared with any third party
- Used for any purpose other than providing the compression result to you
Once you close the page or refresh, all image data is cleared from memory. No residual copies remain.
We use localStorage (a browser feature) to store only:
- Your theme preference (light/dark mode – if applicable)
- A small history of your recent compressions (file sizes and dimensions – never the actual images)
This data never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings or by using the “Reset All” button in the tool.
No cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts are used on this site.
If you choose to contact us via the email link or the contact form, your message is sent directly to our email address via your default email client (using a mailto: link). We do not store your message on any server associated with Pixlop. Any correspondence is treated confidentially and used only to respond to your inquiry.
Pixlop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. All image processing is local and does not require any user account or personal data.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
